I’ve been feeling copper in a major way recently. If I had my way I’d add copper accents to every room in our house! Luckily I can indulge my love for the metallic hue in today’s stationery inspiration. Feast your eyes on these beautiful copper wedding invitations.
I just love the soft dove grey paper and the prettiness of the calligraphy, offset by that pop of copper foil shine! The invitation suite, menus and place cards were created by the super-talented Claire at Calligraphy for Weddings especially for a styled inspiration shoot that I worked on with the lovely Amanda Karen Photography.
Metallics in weddings show no sign of going anywhere yet (yay!). The copper wedding invitations work really well with the wider theme of the shoot, with the industrial metal toned down by pops of soft grey, blush pink and pretty stems of flowers. This is the perfect colour combination for a unique wedding theme.
That cake table paper fan backdrop is one of my favourite wedding DIYs ever! Amanda and I spent a Saturday afternoon crafting to pull it together. It’s a worth a few hours of hot gluing in my view. It’s definitely one of the most inexpensive ways to add some wow to your cake table display. Check out this tutorial to help you create something similar (I’m working on a tutorial on how to hang a big backdrop like this – stay tuned!)
I actually think copper is a bit of an underused colour in weddings (rose gold has really been having more of a moment recently) but I think you’ll agree it works beautifully in these copper wedding invitations.
